At Lakemary, we believe in supporting a lifestyle that best fits every person’s greatest opportunity for a healthy, independent, happy life. Our Adult Residential Program is built around this mission by providing living situations for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The commitment that Lakemary has for our adults is strong and enduring. It is our goal to remain a constant partner as individual needs evolve over time.
We provide support to more than 130 adults who live in a variety of settings throughout Paola and Olathe. Residential Services provide support within three options based on individual need. Emphasis is placed on community access, inclusion, and integration for all.
Direct Support Professionals and leadership staff provide support based on each adult’s choices and interests with a focus on wellness, safety, and maintaining a high standard of care.
supported living
- Programs that provide housing for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our supported living programs are staffed to provide functional skills training and on-site supportive services.
Semi-Independent Living
- These services are for people who do not require 24-hour support but need some assistance to live independently in the community. This assistance may include training, shopping, and use of community resources.
Full 24-hour support
- Lakemary provides safe living environments for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities with a focus on community access and integration, based on individual interests and choice in 24-hour staff supported homes in neighborhoods throughout our community.
