A Tranquil Tribute to the Ursuline Sisters of Paola, who founded Lakemary Center in 1969.
As you drive down the long drive to the Lakemary Center campus, a courtyard will stand as a living testament to the vision, compassion, and enduring legacy of the Ursuline Sisters of Paola. At its center, a graceful 3 tier pond fountain will sparkle in the sunlight, its gentle flow echoing the spirit of peace and renewal that has guided Lakemary’s mission for five decades.
Surrounded by shade and ornamental trees, lush plantings and an inviting cobblestone pathway, this space will offer a place for reflection, connection, and gratitude. Here, the beauty of nature will meet the quiet sound of water, creating a sanctuary that honors the Sisters’ unwavering dedication to education, care, and community.
This courtyard is more than a garden—it is a celebration of service and love. We want to share the rich history of the Ursuline Sisters of Paola and their connection with Lakemary Center. Each ripple in the fountain carries forward the Sisters’ legacy, reminding all who visit of the deep roots from which Lakemary has grown and the hope that continues to flourish here.
