Crisis Stabilization

Lakemary Crisis Program

Officers | First Responders | Public Safety Personnel | School Personnel

Participants in our Crisis Stabilization training will develop the skills and abilities to better support individuals with a diagnosis of an Intellectual Developmental Disorder and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder when in crisis.

A behavioral and/or mental health crisis can happen at any time. Therefore, the Lakemary Crisis Team provides a crisis Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), crisis therapist, crisis case manager, and a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) who are prepared to handle crisis situations involving individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and their families, caregivers, and providers living in Johnson and Miami counties.  This team is created to offer individual and family therapy, case management, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) supports and interventions, behavioral health training, other preventative behavioral and de-escalation skills on a short-term basis so that a plan focused on safety, resources, and follow up services can be created.
