Lakemary Crisis Team

A behavioral and/or mental health crisis can happen at any time. Therefore, the Lakemary Crisis Team provides a crisis Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), crisis therapist, crisis case manager, and a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) who are prepared to handle crisis situations involving individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and their families, caregivers, and providers living in Johnson and Miami counties.  This team is created to offer individual and family therapy, case management, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) supports and interventions, behavioral health training, other preventative behavioral and de-escalation skills on a short-term basis so that a plan focused on safety, resources, and follow up services can be created.

Lakemary training Program

Our program is designed to help parents and providers quickly recognize how our services can support their unique needs.

  • Provide consultative and collaborative supports within school settings for students exhibiting high-acuity aggressive behaviors toward others, themselves, and/or property.
  • Serve as a bridge between school and home environments to promote consistent strategies, shared language, and continuity of supports across settings.
  • Deliver behavioral and consultative services within residential group homes and adult day programs, supporting individuals across a range of adult service environments.

This training is designed for officers, first responders, public safety personnel and school personnel and those part of an agency or program that supports individuals with ID/DD. If you have interest in learning more  about our training program or to schedule a training session, please contact Shrina Zaldivar, shrina.zaldivar@lakemary.org
